Zbrush notes (PRELIM)

- Enable wireframe- Shift+F

- Extract a piece from the mesh- mask, then subtool-> extract (duplicate base mesh just in case)
- How to get rid of mask- Tool-> Masking-> Clear
- Deleting parts of a mask:
- 1. Mask an area
- 2. Visibility-> Hidept -> Modify topology -> del hidden
- Combining pieces
- 1. Select a piece of the mesh
- 2. Merge-> Merge visible
- This will make a new subtool, tap on it in the tool window (You should see a little thumbnail of it)
- You can switch back to the pieces by tapping in the tool and looking for the one that has a little number next to it ( or a thumbnail of your mesh)
- Then to merge the edges, Geometry-> Dynamesh
- Saving camera angles
- Timeline
- Movie > Timeline sub-palette
- "Show" opens the timeline, click on it to make a keyframe
- making poly groups
- mask an area out
- Press Ctrl + W
- (I was using mask by creases and then editing the mask from there to get the sharp edges for creases)
- making trims
- Mask an area out
- geometry-> extract-> accept
- zremesh to clean up topology
- Deformation-> polish by groups
- remesher again
- move topology tool to edit
- Isolating/ selecting a poly group
- shift+ctrl click
- do this again but off the model to bring everything back
- how to make a folder
- ctrl+f
- Selecting multiple subtools
- shift+ctrl click w/ gizmo 3d active

- Getting rid of the line created my scribe brushes
- Select the brush: stroke-> curve helper -> delete curve
- Turn off thumbnail (the box in the top left of the viewport)
- Prefrences -> Thumbnail
