Creating a FaceCam (linguini pipeline- references RapidRIg)

1. Select Create>Cameras>Camera. Rename the camera ‘faceCam’. Open theAttribute

Editor, and select the faceCamShape tab. Expand the OrthographicViews section, and turn

on the checkbox next to Orthographic. Change the Orthographic Width to approximately 5.5.


2. Translate faceCam up along the Y axis until it is roughly in the center of the eyes and mouth.

Translate it along the Z axis until it is about two grid units in front of Linguini’s head.To test the

camera, select Panels>Orthographic>faceCam.


3. Select the forehead JNT, then CTRL+Select faceCam (ie in the Outliner) and choose

Rigging>Constrain>Parent Constrain. You will now be able to move Linguini’s head in any

direction, and the faceCam will always be pointing at the front of Linguini’s face.
