UV editing- a [very] general overview (includes steps from Linguini Pipeline)

General Notes

  • Make sure the faces are blue, if red this might mean the shell is reversed- find flip button to flip
    • To see this click the button under the edit and create tabs in the toolbar click the box that is filled in green
    • This could also mean that the UVs are simply not cut correctly, if they do not lay flat sew the pieces back together and find a better approach
  • Don’t have them along the edge of the 1 to 1 nor going over it
  • Click the checkered button next to the image icon to display a checkerboard. Make sure the squares aren’t stretched or compressed
